Join Arlington Transportation Partners on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 for National Walking Day. Walking is a great way to support health and wellness amongst your employees, tenants and residents. Studies find that a short walk during the day can almost immediately improve people’s mood and their ability to handle stress at work. Combat the afternoon coffee cravings in stride and focus, walk around a couple of blocks or choose a walkabout. National Walking Day is for everyone!
What’s new this year?
In celebration of National Public Health Week, April 3-9, ATP has partnered with WalkArlington and Arlington County’s public health office to encourage people of all ages and abilities to participate in a cumulative 1 Billion Steps Challenge. Create your own team or join the Arlington County team and start tracking your steps. Let’s walk together towards one billion steps!
Wait, there’s more! There will be an additional pit stop at Columbia Pike. Stop by your nearest pit stop and pick up fun swag, available on first-come, first-serve basis. Pit stop locations include: Ballston, Columbia Pike, Crystal City and Rosslyn. Register today for National Walking Day, it's free.
