ATP TAKEAWAY: Recognized for their commitment to sustainable transportation, Lincoln Property Company secures the last Champion of the Month slot for their willingness to partner with ATP on so many events and opportunities to further improve their building amenities.

Lincoln Property Company LogoAs our final Champion of the Month for 2015, ATP is recognizing Lincoln Property Company for their involvement in Champions and efforts in implementing transportation programs at commercial properties in Arlington. With five office buildings enrolled in Champions, including 1776 Wilson (Gold Level), Courthouse Tower (Gold Level), and three properties in the Colonial Place development (Silver Level), Lincoln recognizes the value and importance of providing transportation programs to tenants as a third party management company.

With higher vacancy rates earlier this year, combined with a strong market demand for transit-oriented, accessible property locations, many commercial buildings have had to evaluate their current amenities and consider new programs to attract and retain tenants. Lincoln has been proactive and worked with property owners to upgrade building features while also promoting transportation programs to engage tenants and encourage sustainable commute options.

These include physical improvements such as new fitness centers and shower facilities, as seen at Courthouse Tower and Colonial Place. Secure bike parking with tire pumps and repair kits have also been added recently at Colonial Place, while Courthouse Tower is considering plans to upgrade the building’s bicycle parking in 2016.

1776 Wilson (Lincoln Property Company)Lincoln is one of the few property management companies that hold regular tenant roundtable meetings to provide information about building upgrades, events in the local community and hear feedback from tenants. All the property managers invite ATP to attend, where tenants are reminded about programs such as Guaranteed Ride Home and Champions, while also providing info on services such as car2go or Capital Bikeshare memberships. Lincoln also partners with ATP to inform tenants about events such as National Walking Day, Bike to Work Day and National Preparedness Month. Finally, ATP provides assistance in ensuring the buildings’ carpool/vanpool programs are running smoothly and help promote commute programs to tenants.

As the management company for numerous properties throughout Arlington, Lincoln Property Company is able to help influence the way thousands of workers commute to work each day, based on their properties’ location, amenities and tenant programs. ATP looks forward to continuing the partnership in 2016 and is excited to enroll more Lincoln-managed properties in Champions next year.
