ATP TAKEAWAY: WalkArlington is about to debut their new WalkAbout in Crystal City. Join the fun on April 17th and experience the new route with other walking enthusiasts.

On April 17, starting at noon, our friends over at WalkArlington are debuting their brand new WalkAbout in Crystal City. You might be Walkability, WalkScore, Bike Trailsscratching your head and thinking to yourself, “Doesn’t Crystal City already have a WalkAbout?”

The long and the short of it is yes, yes they do…BUT, it’s been 10 years since the original WalkAbout was first developed and a lot has changed in this growing Urban Village. Crystal City stretches along the Potomac River, spanning from Long Bridge Park (home to Boeing, a 2014 Platinum Champion) down to Washington Reagan National Airport.

You can experience the new Crystal City WalkAbout with fellow walking enthusiasts on April 17, 2015. The event is free of charge and it’s open to the public, all ages and pups too. Now that definitely gets a paw of approval!

The walk will take place rain or shine. This event is a great warm-up for National Walk@Lunch Day (don't forget to register by 4/22), so tell your walking team to get warmed up. What better way to experience Spring than on your own two feet?
