ATP TAKEAWAY: Ballston’s newly formed Business Improvement District (BID) supports its 25 block neighborhood of commercial and residential properties with various programs and events making Ballston a foremost business, cultural and entertainment destination.

The four pillars of the Business Improvement District (BID), Tina Leone, CEO and her team consisting of Catherine Roper, Director of Marketing, Allie Kraft, Communications Coordinator and Samantha Baker, Operations Coordinator do a remarkable job in bringing great events to Ballston. We enjoyed partnering with the BID at this year’s National Walk@Lunch Day. Their orange water bottles were popular amongst our walkers. Check out some of our favorite pictures of the Ballston Pit Stop on our Facebook page.

Ballston BID LogoBallston is also the home of several ATP Champions, including The Nature Conservancy, NRECA, Residence Inn, Virginia Tech Research Center and more. A leading example of an urban village, Ballston has a great mix of tall office buildings, residential buildings, hotels, restaurants, sidewalks and parks making it an ideal destination to live, work and play.

Travel on the Orange or Silver Lines to Ballston Metro Station. There are several great restaurants and bars located around the station. Also the home to Kettler Capitals Iceplex and Regal Theater, both great options to avoid the Summer heat.
