September offers a chance to promote and raise awareness around Transportation Demand Management, or TDM. Transportation Demand Management is the successful complement to infrastructure, focused on understanding how transportation choices are made and assisting people in using the existing infrastructure for transit, walking, biking, ridesharing, and teleworking.
TDM is at the core of what Arlington Transportation Partners (ATP) does in our work with employers, residential communities, commercial properties, and hotels.
What is TDM Week?
This year, TDM Week will take place September 16 to 20, ending just a few days before Car Free Day. The theme for this year is carbon reduction, meaning this is a great year to consider reducing congestion, enhancing corporate sustainability initiatives, and improving efficiency. Participants can plan to prioritize TDM as carbon reduction strategy for their community.
ATP’s services assist in carbon reduction in Arlington County, through the installment of TDM programs in local businesses. By offering commuter benefits, providing Capital Bikeshare memberships, or simply hosting an event with ATP, your business can take meaningful steps towards carbon reduction. Our Champions program allows you to gain recognition for these efforts and offering the best to your employees, tenants, and residents.
How do I participate?
