2014 has been a banner year for Champions and the team at Arlington Transportation Partners (ATP). This year we’re recognizing and rewarding 122 companies in Arlington County who have promoted alternative transportation to their employees, tenants or residents. Later this month, ATP will host our 1st annual Champions Breakfast Ceremony to recognize the dedication and commitment of our Champions.
Attendees can look forward to hearing from our keynote speaker, Angela Fox, CEO of the Crystal City BID. We are excited to recap the progress of our Champions in 2014 as we celebrate 122 companies!
The official countdown is on (21 days, by the way!); but before we pull out the party balloons, let’s take a look back at a few of our top Champions from 2014.
PAE, located in Rosslyn, is a Gold Level Champion and has worked hard to implement a wellness program that not only benefits the company as a whole, but the individual employees.
Dave Dietly, Senior Manager of Global Benefits, shares that employees have participated in both annual Walk@Lunch Day and Bike to Work Day.
Craig Houghton, Small Business Liaison Officer for PAE, jokes that his family is jealous he’s only had to fill his car with gasoline 5 times this year because he takes advantage of PAE’s transit benefits.
Watch the video below for more fun anecdotes and to see how our Champion, PAE, is making a difference here in Arlington County.
Even though Champions 2014 has come to a close, ATP is already looking to honor even more Champions in 2015! Champions is a 1-year program with an informal re-enrollment process. Simply put, your rep will contact you to confirm you’d like to participate again. Companies like Gold Level PAE, will simply continue to receive their earned recognition and invitations to special Champion events as we move into 2015.
