ATP Takeaway: Just like the National Football League (NFL), Arlington Transportation Partners (ATP) consists of various teams: employer, commercial, multi-family residential, hotels, and more. You will be surprised to see how similar we are to the NFL.

You might wonder what Arlington Transportation Partners (ATP) --a business to business transportation consultancy- and the National Football League (NFL) have in common. ATP is the leading transportation demand management firm in the country and NFL is the most popular and watched sport in the nation. But there is more in common between the two: team structure, players, schedule, and more. Take a closer look below.

Teams

NFL: Multiple teams representing different cities. Every team has their own playbook with the common goal to win the Superbowl.

ATP: we have multiple teams representing the different services we offer: employer, multi-family residential, hotels, commercial and schools. Every service has their own custom commuter information guide with the common goal of encouraging the use of mass transit, biking, walking, carpooling, vanpooling, teleworking, and other alternatives to driving alone

Quarterbacks

NFL: A quarterback is the team lead and starts most plays. He will either finish the play himself or throw the ball to his other team member who will run to the end-zone and score a touchdown. They are usually the face of their team.

ATP: ATP representatives are the main point of contact for their clients. They assist them with custom resources to implement commuter programs or connect them with specialist within the team like the vanpool specialist to join or start a new vanpool program. ATP representatives are also the face of the team.

Playoffs

NFL: Fans look forward to viewing the playoffs that include Wild Card, Divisional, Championship, and Superbowl games.

ATP: Clients look forward to ATP events that include National Walking Day, Bike to Work Day, Our Shared Street and the Champions banquet.

Most Valuable Player

NFL: The MVP is a player that has played exceptionally well during the season and led their team to success.

ATP: HR managers, office managers, sustainability team leads, and health and wellness leads are ATP’s main MVP’s. They work hard year-round to implement and enhance commuter programs to make daily commuting easy for the employees. They are also Champions and ATP recognizes their efforts every year.

Become the MVP

ATP’s toolkit is like a playbook that includes a variety of custom resources and services to help Arlington county employers that are interested in offering or enhancing competitive transportation benefits to their employees. Become your organizations' MVP and contact your ATP representative to get started.
