About Champions?
Founded by Arlington Transportation Partners (ATP) in 2014 and supported by Arlington County Commuter Services (ACCS), Champions has recognized more than 530 unique participants who have introduced over 3,750 sustainable transportation benefits and amenities. In addition, Champions fosters strategic partnerships that enable new programming to develop over the years. Now, in its eleventh year, Champions continues to grow and evolve—encouraging new and returning participants to set new goals and work with their ATP rep to problem solve their transportation challenges.
In 2024, we recognized more than 150 Arlington businesses and properties dedicated to advancing their organization’s commuting programs by implementing 243 transportation initiatives. Notably, 92 Champions have participated for five or more years, and 16 organizations were honored as 10-Year Champions.
